Addiction Psychiatrist Opportunity - Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center
The Division of Substance Abuse of Montefiore Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is the largest medical school affiliated treatment program in the United States. Our program provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment along with on-site medical and psychiatric healthcare for over 4000 patients.
We are seeking a Psychiatrist with expertise in the treatment of substance use disorders to join our team at a large, University affiliated, substance abuse treatment center in the Bronx, NY. This is a dynamic opioid pharmacotherapy site which provides on-site primary medical care, including HIV and Hepatitis C care, integrated with substance abuse treatment and psychiatric services. The program has been commended by NYS representatives for providing comprehensive services utilizing empirically validated techniques to an underserved population of substance users in the Bronx.
The role includes evaluation and ongoing psychiatric care, participation in quality improvement activities, opportunities for teaching and supervision of Albert Einstein College of Medicine medical students, Psychiatry residents and Addiction Psychiatry fellows, as well as opportunities to join existing research projects and to initiate new research. This is a highly collegial setting with a multidisciplinary team, including a large group of primary care physicians, who are dedicated to providing high quality care to an underserved patient population. Faculty appointment at Albert Einstein College of Medicine commensurate with qualifications.
