Job Summary:The Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry-Addiction Medicine position will be in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the National Center for Wellness and Recovery. This position is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. Additionally, clinical services will be provided in the OSU System Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The position will work with existing Addiction Medicine faculty and staff.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of an Addiction Medicine physician.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required:
-Requires a D.O. or M.D. degree
-Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma
-Board certification by the AOA, ABMS or ABAM, or, board eligibility
-Devoted interest in education.

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Knowledge of all areas related to the clinical practice of Addiction Medicine. Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem-solving skills, practice management experience, and the ability to effectively plan. Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are a positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers.
